What's inside
Read it on a Saturday morning with a coffee and you’ll finish knowing whether the thing in your head is a book, which door it goes through, and what it will realistically do for you once it's out.

Publishing runs on statistics nobody checks. The most viral one of the last 3 years, the claim that half of all books sell fewer than a dozen copies, came from a lawyer's framing during an antitrust trial, got amplified by a Substack post, and was never corrected. Circana's own analyst tried to reproduce it and could not come close. The real figure is 14.7%.
Where the honest answer is that nobody actually knows, I say so. That happens more often than the internet would suggest. You’re going to make expensive decisions off this information. It should be true.
