Business Book Ghostwriter
You have a method. It currently lives in a 200-slide deck, 14 versions deep, in a folder called Final. Your clients quote it back to you. Nobody outside the room has ever heard of it.
That is the whole problem. Your expertise is real, tested and worth money, and it is trapped in a delivery format that only works when you are in the room. A book is the version of your method that walks into rooms you were not invited to.
Crystal Adair-Benning. 4x NYT bestselling ghostwriter & book coach. 30 yrs in books, 200+ authors, 12+ countries.
What a business book is actually for.
It is not a brochure. Nobody has ever finished a 200-page brochure.
A business book does 4 things at once. It proves you know the thing. It teaches enough that the reader gets a real result. It makes the reader realise how much faster this would go with you. Then it sits on a desk with your name on the spine for years, which no ad campaign has ever managed.
Speakers with books get bigger stages. Consultants with books stop competing on price. Founders with books raise with a story instead of a deck.
Apply to work together
The 3 business books that actually sell.
Type 1
The method book
You have a repeatable system with a name. The book teaches it end to end and becomes the thing people cite. This is the one that generates speaking invitations.
Type 2
The contrarian book
Your whole industry believes something you know is wrong. You have the receipts. These books travel furthest because people argue about them in public.
Type 3
The founder story
How you built it, what it cost, what you would do differently. Investors, recruits and journalists all want this one and none of them will ask you directly for it.
“I never dreamed I’d be on a bestseller list. Crystal made it happen and made the process feel like the most natural thing in the world.”
Peter Merrett, 2024 Australia Speaker of the Year
How it works.
- The positioning call. Before anything gets written, we settle what the book is for. Leads, fees, credibility, an exit. The goal changes the structure.
- The teardown. You hand over the decks, the workshops, the recorded talks and the client transcripts. Most experts arrive with 60% of a book already written and no idea it is there.
- The architecture. A chapter-by-chapter outline with the promise of each chapter stated in 1 line. If a chapter cannot make a promise, it is not a chapter.
- The interviews. Recorded sessions, roughly 2 hours a week, where I pull out the stories that turn your framework from theory into proof.
- The draft and the polish. Chapters in batches, your corrections, a full structural pass, then the read-aloud test so it still sounds like you and not like a consultant.

What I am not going to do.
I will not fill 200 pages with a 20-minute idea. Padding is obvious to every reader alive and it is the fastest way to make a smart person look thin.
I will not write you a book for a business you have not built yet. Build the thing, get the results, then write the book about how you got them.
I will not agree with you for the sake of an easy project. You are paying for 30 yrs of knowing what sells, and I intend to spend all of it.

Questions I get asked.
Will this actually bring in business?
A book is the highest-leverage piece of marketing most experts will ever make, and it is the only one that gets handed to somebody by a stranger. It will not replace your sales process. It will make the sales process shorter.
Is my method big enough for a book?
If you can teach it in a full-day workshop, it is a book. If you can teach it in 20 minutes, it is a chapter and we need to find the other 9.
Whose name goes on the cover?
Yours. You hold the copyright. My name appears only if you want it to, and most of the time it does not.
How much of my time does it take?
Roughly 2 hours a week of recorded interviews plus reading time for chapter batches. I write, you talk and approve.
What if my competitors read it?
They will, and they will still not be you. Giving away the what builds the demand for the who. The people who want it done for them will call you.
Traditional or self-publishing?
Depends on the goal. Speaking fees and credibility push one way. Bulk sales and speed push the other. I will give you a straight recommendation with the trade-offs on the table.
How long does it take?
Most business books land between 5 and 9 months from first interview to finished manuscript.
What does it cost?
It varies by length, research and how much material already exists. The pricing conversation is honest and happens on the first call.
Not sure which one is yours?
Book a free 30-minute call. I will tell you which path fits your book, your calendar and your goals. If none of them do, I will tell you that too.
